rocket propelled

Today's moment of pure towering achievement over the lesser accolades of the human race comes to you via ModNation Racers: Road Trip. Because only the cutting-edge gaming technology of 2014 can truly bring us both the magic and the wonder of stone.

Somehow the accomplishment here feels less accomplished than it should. On the plus side I am not feeling perpetually bereft of energy so that's a good sign for future incoming bloggage around these here parts. As for tonight I may just acquaint myself more with this ModNation malarkey. Played the original ModNation Racers back in 2010. Had a few laughs, won a few races, rocket propelled a few opponents into oblivion, that sorta thing. So hopes are moderately high for more of the same here.

So there's this teaser site ticking away the day, hours and minutes to something almost very Fallout related. There is the collective hope that Fallout 4 is on the horizon. Will it? Can it? Be it? Having played this series since its first atmospheric outing into the future past I can say I am very happy at the prospect. Very few fictional worlds bring it together like this one does, a retro future 1950's America warped, twisted and annihilated by nuclear hellfire but still very much there when you wipe away the ashes. It's bleak, funny and demented and if there's more coming I will be very much doing my happy dance.

my top 100 games of all time part 1

It begins! You know what? I'm just going to do it. No more procrastination, no more delay, no more shifting the ranking around to accommodate the latest greatest game I've played. No it's time. Time to deliver on a mission I set for myself back in the first glorious age of this blog before everything went dark for a few years. It's happening folks, I am beginning the Top 100 ranking of my all-time favourite video games.  These will be games I've played so if any obvious contenders are not there it's because I never got around to playing them or I did and then forgot about them meaning they probably wouldn't have made the list anyway. It's all entirely my own personal opinion of the games that mean the most to me. It is the sum total of my best experiences in gaming over several decades of playing them. So where better to begin my Top 100 game ranking than by err... the honourable mentions?
